A skier at heart, from her home in Revelstoke B.C. to the farthest reaches of the globe, Emelie follows her passion for the mountains wherever she goes. She has skied extensively in Western Canada as well as The European Alps, The High Arctic, The Pamir Mountains in Central Asia, and beyond. She was born and raised in Sweden and came to Canada in 2004 to experience B.C. powder skiing; she was immediately hooked and immersed in the Canadian mountain culture. After graduating from Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops with an Adventure Guide Diploma and a Bachelor of Tourism Management she moved to Revelstoke, B.C. to pursue a career as a guide. Since then she has completed the ACMG Ski Guide certification and spends her winters guiding heli skiing, cat skiing, and ski touring. In the summertime, Emelie works as a glacier and hiking guide and travels back to Sweden to stay connected with her roots.
Emelie enjoys connecting with people in the mountain environment through backcountry skiing. She draws from her depth of experience to provide a fun and safe experience and she cant wait to share her passion for the mountains with all the girls at Girls Do Ski!
