Winter has arrived in Revelstoke

Thursday, October 29th, 2015

Winter has arrived at Revelstoke Mountain Resort! I had the pleasure of skiing with Girls day Out coaches Zoya and Izzy Lynch and the woman behind tourism Revelstoke-Meghan Tabor this morning. Laughter and sheer joy engulfed us as we got continuously smothered with powder. Winter is here folks and I’m glad to be back on the shred-sticks!

Smiles and snowflakes,

Leah

20 Under 20 Recap

Wednesday, January 21st, 2015

Last weekend, 20 girls from across BC, Alberta and the United States were invited to participate in a our 20 Under 20 Freeski Camp at Revelstoke Mountain Resort. Phew! We’re still riding the wave of incredible energy and mind blowing talent. If this weekend was any indication, female freeskiing is in for a massive growth spurt in the next few years. The future looks bright!

We’d like to give a huge shout out and special thanks to our hosts, Revelstoke Mountain Resort, who provided lift tickets for the day and graciously donated space for us to offer this camp free of charge to the 20 young shredders who took part in what some have already declared ‘the best day EVER’! Strong community partnerships build strong community members, and this weekend’s event was a testament to every resort and ski town that is working to inspire and encourage the growth of our sport through youth engagement and programs such as this.

Thanks, everyone. See you out there!
