Consider this course to be a friendly, fun pre-exam to the official guides exam. This course is built for ladies who want to become ski guides or who are curious about the possibility of pursuing that path one day. It's a perfect course for you if you’ve been gaining industry experience and would like some more focused mentorship and confidence building. We will spend three hands-on days exploring your skill set and working with you to affirm your strengths and work on your weaknesses.
This course will have a one guide to three student ratio to simulate the official guiding exam, while also allowing you the opportunity to ask questions and gain direct and personal feedback. Upon completion of the course, you will receive a personalized report card with an overview of your skill set.
This course requires:
1. Proficient glacier travel and crevasse rescue skills. This course will focus on testing and practicing.
2. Expert skiing ability with no problems moving through any type of terrain. We will be analyzing your skiing and giving you feedback.
3. Proficient beacon use.
